Felted Slippers

I am sure you are wondering why I am knitting when this is to be sewing month. Well I really didn't knit these this month but about.... umm two months ago. They have been sitting that long waited to felted. These were originally for me, but were pushed off into the "waiting to be finished" projects. Until I realized that my sisters birthday was coming up, and I knew that she wanted a pair, for I made my mom some and she was quite jealous :)

 So I quickly felted them, which is a little harder when you are making them smaller than your own feet.

 And I put this cute button on it!! It just makes it a bit cheery, and will help when the long, cold, rainy days come this winter!! :)

And there you have it. Though she will not need these for a few more months, they will be there waiting to be used when needed!!

An Apron For Sewing

Well, Hannah (the other writer on this blog) birthday is this Thursday, And because she is leaving for Georgia tomorrow (not fair :) I had to give this to her a little early.

Here is her card, I tried to make

it a bit vintage looking cause that is

Hannah's style!

This is how I wrapped her gift, in some fabric that I

thought she could use to make something.

Here is the pattern I used...And the messy desk, cutting out pieces.........

And here it is, a sewing apron,
to hold all the little things while you are
sewing the seems!!

Here are the different pockets, This is the small

scissor pocket.

Felt square for your hand needles.

Just an ordinary pocket.

Pocket with places for pencils and pens.

One large pocket.

A pin cushion and a small pocket underneath.

I thought it would be neat to fill some of the pockets,

So I found some things, like 2 patterns, scissors, and some other

stuff.

And there you have it, Cute huh?? I thought the fabric

was just to cute not to make something out of!!

Two Wallets for Two Good Friends

This last week was Andra and Michaela's Birthdays! Two very good friends of mine! A while ago Hannah and I made wallets, and these two happened to see them at some point and mentioned that they both wanted one, I said to them that if you got the fabric I would make it for you. So about a month ago, I remembered these conversations and thought it would be nice to make them as a surprise. So I picked out fabric that seemed to go with there style. I also made them each a card. Here are some pictures.

When I made my wallet there were some difficulties in the size

of pockets and such, so with these I made sure to

measure the pockets, so that cards and money would fit into them!

Kensington Hat

My younger sisters Birthday is also in this month, the 28th to be exact. I also wanted to make her something special. As I was thinking of what to knit for her, I remembered when I was down in California visiting her and mom, she wore a beret hat allot. So I thought that I could make her one! I searched many places, and then I found on KnitPicks there was a hat called The Kensington Hat, my sisters name is MaKensie and most often we call her Kensie. I thought that the pattern was cute and the name fit as well. Now this hat was a little challenging, not the knitting part or the lace, but the counting. I had to restart the hat about 3 time until I finally got the right amount of stitches on my needles. Once that happened I was able to finish the hat in a week. I had never done this kind of hat, but I enjoyed knitting it and making a card for my dear little sister!!

I figured out how to make these paper flowers,

they are supper fun to make. Especially when you use

different buttons and paper!
