~My Little Ballerina~

made Liberty this dress to match her sisters ballet dresses,  because my mom had extra material left over from theirs.  She looks like an absolute doll in it!

Sorry these pics aren't very good, I didn't have very good lighting.

Pink Floral Purse

Every year my Church has an evening were the congregation can share the talents God has given to them with the rest of us. This year is the first time I have ever entered any thing. Like many of my other projects I have planned, this one has been sitting, waiting to be sewn together. So for motivational purposes I decided I was going to finish it for the Evening of The Arts.

Here is the Fabric

And the Pattern

Here is the purse part of the way done.

And here it is all finished!

And there is the inside, with my things all in it!!

It was a very simple project that took me about a day to finish. And with putting it into the event, I had quite a few compliments and a few orders to make them for people, which was a bit surprising!! I just might have to make a few extra to put in my etsy store... we will see.

Well that is all the fun for now, but I will keep you updated on those orders and share them later.

Thanks for reading,

Rebecca

Etsy Store: A Stich Away

Well the reason I have been so busy or at least haven't been posting in a while is because I have been setting up a Etsy shop, to sell some binky holders! My name for my store is A Stich Away, cute huh? I sure like it!I actually started these last fall to try to sell at some of the Christmas Bazaar's, but didn't get them finished in time. So they have been sitting in my craft bin, and finally I decided to finish them to sell!! Here are some more that are for sale.

I plan to make more, with different colors!! So check out my etsy store right on the left side bar!!

That's all for now, Rebecca

Mothers Day Gifts

I know I have not posted for a while..... I have been up to a few projects but not finished enough to post them :) These last two weeks I have been working on some mothers day presents for my mother that lives in California. Knowing that it is already hot there I made her two head bands. I used a clothe head band as a guild and just went crazy form there :) I used some of my scrap fabric that I had a round to make these head bands.

Here is the first one, this is my favorite of the two!!

I bought this yo yo maker from work, and I just love how

they turned out!!

This is the second one!!

With the cute little yo yo :)

With some help from my sister,

I found out that my mom wears a lot of pink, teal and black

So I decided to make her a bracelet to match the head band

above. I knitted the wire and wried the beads on!!

I used a lock and key clasp!!

This is what it looks like on.

Though I have never knitted with wire before,
it was quite the experience, a little difficult, and
I think I might have trimmed my needles down abit,
but other than that it was fun to experiment!!

Well that is all for now!! I hope you make or do something special for your mothers this

year, to tell her how much you appreciate all the love and guidance she has

given you over the years!!

P.S. She called me today and said she loved the gifts!! Which I

was excited to hear!!

Recipe Card Holder

Do ever feel that your recipes are scattered all over, from the cupboard, tacked to the fridge, to that messy book with your clips of magazines of ideas for new dinners. Well I have been feeling like this and had to finally do something about it. So I made a handy dandy card holder.
This is what I used:

Set of recipe cards -Dollar store :)

2 Double fusible interfacing cut to the size of my cards

2- pieces of fabric cut the same as the interfacing (front)

And another color of fabric cut the same for the inside

Oh and 2 rings to hold it all together

Here are all the supplies laid out ready to put together

There it is... pretty quick and easy!!
And there are my cards ready to fill with the recipes

I have, as well as many more that I find!!
Well there you go!! A nice a neat place to keep

all of your treasured recipes. I also thought

to organize it a bit further is to make tabs

for different kinds of recipes!!

Off to more crafts!!

Two of A Kind

This post is a little late.. :) But it is still one that I need to make. Well about a month and a half ago I finished a pair of socks for my good friend Mrs. Hardy!! I started this project I think in November and worked on them during the winter season!! Well here are some pictures of the project.
Here they are all finished!! One thing about socks are that you make one, and feel good that you finished it, until you realize you have to do it all over again to finish the pair :) Knowing that Mrs. Hardy had a sweater that matched the colors in the socks, I thought I should make something to wear on the sweater. So I made her a flower pin!! It was fun and really easy. It only used a little bit of yarn as well which is nice to use up the extra bit of yarn from your project. Well there you have it another project done. On to the next... :) ~Rebecca
