Please Press!

When I was younger and had much less experience in sewing, I would read the pattern, and when it said press seams, or iron the bodice, I just kinda skipped over it thinking that it didn't really matter wether I ironed it or not........ Wrong.  It is so important that you iron, and press when it tells you to when you are sewing, it turns out much nicer and is much easier to sew when you do it that way.  So please, please, please next time you are sewing and you come to the part when it tells you to iron.... Don't skip over it.  <3

Helpful Hints: Threading a Needle

So, Rebecca and I have been talking about posting occasional hints on here in between projects, so here goes.

I always dread trying to thread a needle because the thread always seems to be so persistent and never wants to go in, I think that I have come up with a solution to this problem.  I was reading a while ago that if, instead of trying to shove the thread in there by either licking it or any other means imaginable, you simple get the eye of the needle moistened and the saliva acts as a lubricant and draws your thread into it.  At first I was a bit skeptical but after trying it a few times I found that it worked out and made threading a needle allot easier!

Till Next Time,
