Christmas Presents: Scarfs of Many Colors

This year for some of my girl friends, I bought 6 in. of all different colors of fleece, in order to cut strips at the end to make them more like scarves! It was a quick but fun project, and very inexpensive too!!
I tried to get prints or colors that went with the gals personality.

All Stacked Up!!

They look so neat in black and white! :)

Christmas Gifts: Hand Made Fabric Cards

Every year I try to make home made cards. First of all because most of the time I can not find cards that actually say "Merry Christmas", second because they can be really expensive!! and Last because it means allot more to people when you make a card for them.
This year I did something a little different. I used about 8 different fabrics to create different designs for the front of the card.

I did this by cutting the fabric into squares, then cutting a piece of fusible interfacing to the size of the card. Then you place the squares in different designs and iron them to the interfacing. Then I sewed in a zig zag stitch the edges of the squares. then I sewed the piece to the card its self on the out side edge.

It was allot of fun to make these ones!! The one above I just took some scraps and did more of a rap quilt look!!

Here is a just a portion of the cards... I had already by this time sent out the ones that needed to mailed. I made about 30 this year!! And what a fun thing to work on while listening to Christmas music!!

Christmas Presents: Cabled Fingerless Gloves

Right around Thanksgiving, my sister saw a picture of the green gloves I had just finished a couple of weeks before. She had mentioned that she REALLY liked them and that she wanted a pair in gray. So I took that bit of information and got to work.

I had one finished and one almost finished by the time Christmas came. So I wrapped the one and promised her I would finish the pair before the night was over.

I was able to finish them and give them to her completed!!

Here are some black and white photos!!

There you have it, another present that I was able to make for a Christmas present!! (Sorry I am alittle behind on posts, hopefully I will get all caught up soon!!)

Christmas Presents

This Christmas a Co-Worker and I decided to exchange gifts. If you knew her, you would find out that she loves bright colors and accessories. So I decided a hat would be fun to make. I used the same pattern as the one I made for my sister for her birthday a while back.

I love this yarn because it shows the texture of the lace pattern so well!!

I just loved how it turned out!! And she loved it too!!

And this is how I wrapped it, making a box out of 12x12 paper.

Well there is one project I was working on during the month of December. And I have a few more to share... So stay tuned.

Easy Yarn Ornaments

It has been a while since I have posted.... What can I say. But I have a few posts to make... so don't lose all hope in me!! :) Well this project I did about a month ago. And it was very fun and easy to do.

I started with these foam balls

Then I pined a piece of yarn for the hanger. (sorry it is a blurry picture)

Then spraying a little of this in the out side, I wrapped and wrapped yarn around them to make....

These!! Cute Huh??

I made 4 of each color.

Well there you have it a new set of Christmas ornaments!! I got this idea from seeing them in stores to buy ready made. But I thought it would be WAY to easy to make, with the color's that I would like.
So there you have it, a craft for the Christmas season!!

Patriotic for a little one named Justice

Justice was born almost 2 months ago. When thinking about what I was going to make for his upcoming shower, I couldn't help but do something with this fabric. Isn't it so cool!! And if you know Tammy, you will know she loves antic looking fabric, patriotic colors. When seeing this fabric it made me want to make something for him, which became a new diaper bag for Justice!!

Here is the inside.

Here is the side view, with pockets to hold various things!

Also I made a changing pad. The front has the cotton covered with a plastic to protect it and makes it way easier to clean. The back side is terry clothe, but instead of buying it at 10 dollars a yard, I bought a bath towel to do the job!!
There you have it a really cute but very boy diaper bag for one of the sweetest little baby boys!! Thanks for reading!~RebeccA.
